ICICI Bank has reported a 32.23 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 361.18 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2003. On a standalone basis, the bank has posted a 41 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 401.4 crore.
Profit taking in index heavweights RIL and HDFC weighed on sentiment while ICICI Bank surged 7%.
After opening with a positive gap of 60 points at 20,930, the Sensex hit a new high of 21,207 in morning deals on buying in ICICI Bank.
The Sensex opened with a negative gap of 50 points at 20,637, and dropped to a low of 20,438 points in early trades.
India's largest private sector bank ICICI Bank on Saturday posted a net profit of Rs 790 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2006, a 28.5 per cent increase from profits for the year-ago period.

ICICI Bank has posted a net profit of Rs 522 crore [Rs 5.22 billion ($116 million)] for the year ended March 2004, under the US GAAP, as against a net loss of Rs 798 crore [Rs 7.98 billion ($177 million)] in 2002-03.

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance (IPRU) disappointed the market even though some analysts said the Q3FY25 results were in line. Most analysts cut margin estimates. The insurer reported M9FY25 growth of 8.5 per cent year-on-year (Y-o-Y) in value of new business (VNB) premium to Rs 1,575 crore, while total annual premium equivalent (APE) grew 27.2 per cent to Rs 6,910 crore.

The net non-performing assets of the bank increased to 0.69 per cent at the end of first quarter.
